I’m Valeria, a portrait photographer based in Tallinn, Estonia, capturing fleeting moments that reveal the essence of people, culture, and art.

I believe, that the essence of beauty is revealed in the fragility of the moment and in the feeling that remains within it.

My work is inspired by a variety of sources that gradually shape my visual language.

I find inspiration in people and communication. Traveling introduces me to new forms, lights and spaces.

Dancing occupies a special place in this process. By understanding my body, movement, and plasticity, I learn to perceive the world more subtly and discover new sources of inspiration. Music helps me achieve the right mindset.

I am in love with film photography. Its frames contain unpredictable beauty, slight graininess, soft light, and a sense of the present moment that cannot be repeated.

Inspiration

“For me every photograph is a portrait; you are photographing a relationship with the person you are shooting; there is an exchange, and that’s what the picture is.”

- Peter Lindbergh

“- At what age do you think children stop crying?
- Closer to eighty, or maybe even later depending on how lucky you are.
There are no 'adults'."

- Sergei Sarakhanov

Film photography

“Every time I load a roll of film, I feel like I am holding a little piece of history in my hands.”

- Wim Wenders

Portrait is a visual journey. The story is told through light, colour and silence.
